Most of us have fond memories of our birthday parties growing up. Unfortunately, not every child has such memories. Many children have never had a birthday party. Every child loves a birthday party! When a child is celebrated, they feel affirmed, loved, and valued. Many families simply do not have the financial resources to purchase a gift, let alone purchase items for a party. Birthday Pals exists to fill the gap as we build memories and enable a child’s self-worth to increase.

Birthday Pals partners with the community to provide birthday celebrations for children in need. We provide age-appropriate birthday gifts, cards, and party supplies to the child’s family. Our personally curated Birthday Pals Birthday Kits are designed to make a child squeal with delight! In order to protect the dignity of the adults in their lives, we partner with them to make birthday celebrations a reality. This fosters connection in their homes and allows children to feel special on their birthday.

Birthday Pals is made up of people just like you. Our team includes business people, community stakeholders, educators, non-profit leoders, social workers and more. Our founders, Suzanne and Michael Katschke, have spent over 30 years working with schools, churches, non-profits and social service agencies to serve children. After repeated encounters with children who had never had a birthday party and adults asking for financial assistance to celebrate a child, Birthday Pals was born. Our founders believe in celebrating children while maintaining the dignity of the adults in their lives. There is power in helping a family connect over birthday rituals. Birthday Pals is a team effort. As they say, it takes a village. Together, we can make a diifference!
